I was just diagnosed with adult ADHD or ADD, I don't know yet. I have to wait for the results of the tests. It doesn't really bother me at all, I just feel really good because I understand know that I'm not stupid and that my annoying forgetfulness has an explanation.
Even if mom thinks it doesn't exist, "But you've always been that way" and "But it hasn't affected you that much" is all I've heard lately. It hurts because for me it's something important and it DID affect me. It was one of the reasons I'd been an outcast for ALL of my school years. And nobody seems to care.
Good news is mom's coming this weekend for good. That'll give me the opportunity to talk to her about this issue and maybe she can understand better why it's important for me to have her support. My sister is also coming with her, that makes me soooo happy.
HEROES' third season starts next Moday and Alex, Clau, my sister and me are watching a HEROES marathon over the weekend, I can't wait.

Me acaban de diagnosticar TDAH (Trastorno de Déficit de Atención con Hiperactividad), todavía estoy esperando los resultados de los exámenes para saber que tipo y que tan grave es. No me preocupa, más bien me siento bien por que ahora sé que no estoy tonta y que mi memoria de teflón tiene una explicación.
Aunque mi mamá crea que no existe, "Pero siempre has sido así" y "Pero no te ha afectado mucho" es todo lo que oigo ultimamente. Duele por que es algo importante y SI me afectó. Fué una de las razones por las que era muy solitaria durante TODOS los años en la escuela.
Y parece que a nadie le importa eso.
Lo bueno es que mi mamá se viene a vivir acá este fin de semana. Eso me dará la oportunidad de hablar con ella sobre esto y explicarle por que es importante para mi tener su apoyo. Mi hermana también viene con ella, eso me hace taaaaan feliz.
la tercera temporada de HEROES empieza el próximo Lunes y Alex, Clau, mi hermana y yo vamos a aventarnos un maratón de HEROES el fine de semana, ya me anda.
